Last weekend!!

Whoa. We did a lot of driving last weekend, but we really did play 3 kick-ass shows. Thursday night was in Austin. Man, Austin (and Headhunters) has been very good for us as we have played our 2 nicely attended shows there our last two trips to Austin. It was good to see quite a few old friends there as well. Both Headhunters and The Vortex (Beaumont) share one common attribute (cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon) and I love both places for that. VERY VERY COOL. We made it back to Houston at 4:15 am, and I made it in to work at 8:30 am. That kind of sucked. Then, we left H-town at about 5 pm and headed to College Station.

The Battle of the Bands at on Friday night at the College Station campus went very well. Our pal Jim Owsley joined us the entire show on the organ--and we jammed for a very nice crowd in some pretty cold temperatures--low 50's--for outside music playing. The deal with the BOB is that they have been featuring about 15 bands over the last 5-6 weeks. The top 3 bands will advance on Dec 3. (We are in competition with all of the bands, not just the ones we played with on Nov 12). So, we will know in about a week whether we advance to the finals--which will be held on FRI Dec 3. We will let you kow as soon as we learn any results.

Saturday night we headed back to The Vortex in Beaumont, TX. The people at the Vortex are awesome, and we really love hanging out there and eating pizza and drinking pabst and what have ya. We had some people up and dancing, which was very nice. Always good to chatn with our buddy John Fulbright and his people, and we are looking forward to getting bak there in Jan/Feb.
